This past weekend went by in a blur! We had some friends over to our house on Saturday and then hosted both my wife’s family and my famiy on Sunday for our daughters birthdays. What a blast…I love hosting people over at our house. I know it’s a pain to have to clean up all the toys and stuff so that visitors get an unrealistic view of the natural state of our home but having company is a lot of fun.
In some ways I’d rather have people come here than go out because when the time goes to shutdown the party, everyone else has to drive home but I can just go upstairs! Of course, there is the issue of dishes and cleaning up from the party but that’s a task I can live with…..
My oldest daughter just turned 7 years and when I look at her I can’t believe that she is same kid that we brought home from the hospital 7 years ago. It seems like it was just a short time ago that I held her for the first time. I had never held a baby in my arms until her mom gave her to me to hold.
